Four common tricks that every commercial electrician uses during wiring

A commercial electrician’s work is more stressful than a domestic electrician due to dealing with Complex electrical systems of commercial buildings. Commercial electricians try to think outside the box to make installations safe, easy, and quick. When you get in touch with an electrician in Oxford, make sure you check their certification. If you need an electrician for commercial building installation and services, do not hire a domestic electrician for the purpose.

What are the tricks used by commercial Electricals during the wiring process?

The trick to searching the drilling area

The commercial electrician uses either a coat hanger or an insulation hanger to create the position for drilling on the wall. This is an easy technique used by the electricians to start drilling. A small hole is created at a 45-degree angle next to the moulding, and the drilling starts from there.

Dry wires with silicon

When the electrician has to work in damp areas or place electric lines underground, they use silicon to keep the wires dry. They apply a little silicon to the wire nut, which keeps moisture or water away from the wire. When the silicon on the wire dries, it becomes completely airtight and does not allow any moisture to touch the surface of the wire.

Cut PVC with cotton string

Most of the time, the electrician takes a cotton string instead of a hand or a hack saw and cuts the PVC pipe. Cotton strings are favourable over nylon strings as nylon does not work well with PVC. Nylon strings might melt, whereas cotton strings will cut the PVC pipe with precision.

Using a new bulb instead of an old one

Once the electric line has been placed, the electrician will test to see if the circuit is already dead. For this, a new bulb socket is inserted, and the old light bulb is removed. During this process, the electrician also cleans all the damaged parts and makes the socket as good as new. Every time the electrician conducts the test, they ensure that the socket is also repaired and prepared well for the new light bulb.
